I’d like to do article marketing on elance.com. What would be a reasonable bidding price for an article?

I’m new to freelancing and have absolutely no idea how much to charge for my work, unfortunately. What would be a good bidding price for a 500-1000 word article?

I am listed with elance, and 4 other sites.
They SEEM to be bogus

I got started on elance, and grew into a company with 14 employees at one time. I can safely say that it is not bogus like the first poster mentioned.

That said, there are several factors involved in the project. Do you need to do research to write the 500-1000 words? How many revisions will the client get? Does the writing require a knowledge or skill that you possess but few other people do?

These are all factors. This answer may be 250 words, and I am doing it for free. But I am just throwing !@#$%^ on a page.

Question… How much money will make you happy? Go with that. If you do not have the winning bid, you should not be upset.
